Fees & Rebates

Assessment and Therapy Services

Recommended fees for psychological services in Australia are set and reviewed regularly by the Australian Psychological Society. At Solutions Health Psychology Group our fee structure broadly reflects these recommended fees with reductions to these rates offered where possible.

Different rebate schemes are applicable depending on how you are referred to our service. Medicare, Private health funds, Workers Compensation, the Insurance Commission of WA, the Department of Veterans Affairs or a legal service provider may cover part or all of the cost of your fees at our practice.

Payments are generally made on the day of consultation.

No Bulk Billing

We do not offer bulk billing. A gap payment is required between the amount Medicare rebates and the full session fee. Please contact our office if you would like additional information about current fees for the services you require and the rebates you may be eligible for.

Rebate Schemes

There are many different rebate schemes that may be available to you depending on your situation.

Medicare Better Access

All clinicians are registered with Medicare Australia and can accept referrals from General Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Paediatricians and other medical specialists for a series of sessions funded through the Better Access to Mental Health Initiative. The majority of patients referred under Medicare do so through their GP.

There will be a gap payment required between the amount Medicare rebates to you and the full session fee. For your convenience we offer an electronic Medicare Easy-claim facility at time of payment for easy claiming.

Private Health Insurance

You may opt to book an appointment without a Medicare based referral from your GP or medical specialist. In this case, Private Health Funds (depending on fund and coverage) may provide you with a rebate for Psychological services. Please check with your insurance provider to obtain information regarding your level of cover.

For your convenience we offer an electronic HiCAPS facility at time of payment for easy claiming.

Workers Compensation / Insurance Commission

Solutions Health Psychology Group provide independent evaluations for individuals injured at work, in a motor-vehicle accident or as part of a criminal injuries compensation claim. We also provide treatment for injuries that are complex and require accident-specific clinical intervention.

If you have a compensation or insurance claim, please consult with your nominated case or claims manager, or legal professional, as they may pay us directly for psychological services as part of your claim.

DVA & NDIS

If you are eligible for funding through the Department of Veterans Affairs, various rebates may apply. Please let us know at time of booking that you are with DVA or contact us for further information.

NDIS participants are also accepted at our practice. Please contact us to discuss your plan and how we can assist.

Cancellation Policy

We set aside an hour in a block of time for your appointment. If you need to cancel or change an appointment please give us at least 48 hours notice.

If you cancel an appointment with less than 48 hours notice you may be charged a cancellation fee.

Payment Methods

Payments are generally made on the day of consultation. We accept cash, EFTPOS, and credit card.

We offer electronic claiming facilities including:

  • Medicare Easy-claim
  • HiCAPS (Private Health Funds)

Clinical Supervision & Consultancy

Clinical Supervision is available to Clinical Psychology Registrars and students on an hourly rate basis. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

We also provide a range of consultancy and training services on an hourly rate or package basis. Please contact us to discuss your organisational needs.
